Urban Minimalism - Gold Coast, Chicago

Perched on the edge of Lincoln Park in the Gold Coast, with stunning views of Lake Michigan, this light-filled condo marks the fifth collaboration with my long-time client. The directive was to create a space that embodies the essence of minimalism, luxury, and comfort; an environment that speaks ‘Less is more’.

To achieve this vision, we employed a light neutral palette throughout; intertwined with an array of textures, silhouettes, and shapes. The result is a harmonious fusion of simplicity and sophistication. As a nod to the client's personal tastes, favorite pieces of art were relocated to the new condo, adding vibrant visual stimulation through captivating colors, forms, and diverse mediums.

The overall vision was enhanced with custom-made furniture and carpets that aligned seamlessly with the minimalist vibe. Each piece becomes a unique expression of the design's intent, blending effortlessly into the overall aesthetic.
