My passion is interior design

Established in 1997, the firms focus is on residential and commercial projects. Prior to starting her own firm, Hilary worked for some of Chicago’s most prestigious Interior Architectural firms with a concentration on commercial design. Hilary is a graduate of the Harrington College of Design in Chicago, and a licensed Interior Designer in the state of Illinois.

Taking a European approach to design, Hilary tends to focus on contemporary design yet with a mix of old and new, incorporating art and objects to balance the space. Working closely with clients to create spaces that are simple, elegant and sophisticated with an edge that brings out her clients individuality, experience, passion and history.

A typical design approach is firstly a client meeting to discuss the project, goals, budget and any specific issues associated with such. Upon approval to proceed plans are developed for presentation to the client that detail the design development of the project. These plans may include built in millwork and cabinetry, lighting, media, electrical and furniture locations. Additional meetings would include colors, materials and furniture options as the design is further refined to meet the needs of the client.

Upon approval of the design, the procurement of costs from the various trades involved is presented to the client. Hilary works with other professionals sub- contracted by the client if needed, such as an architect or contractor.

Hilary is available throughout the entire process to oversee the work and installation of all the furnishings and materials. Project fee is based on an hourly rate plus a discount on all items purchased by the designer for the client.
